Why this is important: Obesity increases the risk of respiratory problems and chronic health conditions, such as hypertension and diabetes.

Definition: Percent of adults with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 30 or higher. BMI is based on height and weight and is calculated as: BMI = (weight in pounds / height in inches) X 703.
